Recurve Flats Hike

Hike to Recurve Flats near Arroyo De La Cruz, northwest SLO County. This field trip will visit one of the “hottest” spots for botanical diversity in San Luis Obispo Co. Our leader D.R. “Doc” Miller will walk us through an area that features a variety of plant communities and a number of endemics, found only in a relatively small area. Bring water, snacks, hat, sturdy shoes, and dress in layers for changing weather.
Meet at the Washburn Day Use Area near San Simeon Creek Campground at 9:30 am (35.594592, -121.123968). From there, we will caravan to the Recurve Flats area. For carpooling from the San Luis Obispo area, meet in the Santa Rosa Park parking lot at 8:30 am (35.289435, -120.665545).
