Registration is now open for this field-based workshop in one of San Luis Obispo’s most unique and diverse habitats, May 16, 2020, 8:30am-1:00pm. Learn the difference between morphological variability and key characters that distinguish species, and how to interpret difficult keys and plant characters. Presented by local botanist Kristen Nelson. Requires a short, moderately strenuous hike. Intermediate level – participants should have working knowledge of plant taxonomy and keying.
