THIS EVENT IS FULL AND SIGNUPS ARE NOW CLOSED. This will be a docent-led visit to Sedgwick Reserve in the Santa Ynez Valley of Santa Barbara County. The Sedgwick Reserve is part of the University of California Natural Reserve System and encompasses 5,896 acres of oak woodland, savanna, grassland, sage scrub, and riparian areas within two watersheds. The docents will tour us through these diverse habitats and discuss the research of the University of California Santa Barbara and other scientists in this Mediterranean landscape. This outing will last the entire day.

Meet at 9:30 am on the south side of Roblar Avenue just east of the Highway 154 intersection (see GPS point: 34.650228, -120.094607), and from there we will proceed to the Reserve as a group.
For carpooling from the San Luis Obispo area, meet at 8:30 am at the Halcyon Park and Ride Lot, located on the south side of Highway 101 at the Halcyon Road exit in Arroyo Grande. Lat/Long 35.123094, -120.590477.
