Pismo Preserve Bilingual Hike #2

Enjoy a native plant walk at the Pismo Preserve in English and Spanish on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at 3pm led by the San Luis Obispo Chapter of the California Native Plant Society, the Land Conservancy of SLO County, and Latino Outdoors. We will hike the Spring to Spring loop trail 2.2 miles and an elevation gain of 300 feet through chaparral and oak woodland with dramatic ocean views. Everyone is welcomed.

Distancia total: 2.2 millas/3.5 kilometros, Cambio de la altura: 300 pies/91 metros, Duración de la caminata: 2.5 horas. Bring water, snacks, hat, sturdy shoes, and dress in layers for changing weather. There are bathroom facilities at the start of this hike. Rain or threat of rain cancels or postpones this hike. Meet at 3:00 pm at the Pismo Preserve parking area near the restrooms, located off Mattie Road in Pismo Beach (35.151919, -120.654416). Take Exit 191B from US Highway 101. Pismo Preserve entrance and parking lot are located on the east side of the highway at the very southern end of Mattie Road. From the north, take Exit 191B, turn right onto Price Street, right onto Mattie Road (curves left), preserve entrance will be on your right. From the south, take Exit 191B turn right at the end of the exit and into the parking lot.

Cómo llegar a Pismo Preserve – Para llegar al Pismo Preserve, salga de la autopista US 101 en la salida 191B. La entrada del Pismo Preserve y el estacionamiento están ubicados cerca de las salidas de la autopista, en la terminación de Mattie Road. Desde la salida del norte, haga una vuelta a la derecha en Price Street y luego a la derecha en Mattie Road debajo del puente. La entrada está a la derecha.
